September Equinox
Twice a year, in March and September, something special happens called an equinox! That’s the moment when the Sun lines up perfectly with Earth’s equator. On this day, if you were standing right on the equator, you’d see the Sun shining straight overhead at noon—like it’s right above your head!

Constellations you can see in the Fall
When autumn arrives, new star patterns, called constellations, light up the night sky! From late September to December (if you live in the northern hemisphere), you can spot some amazing ones. Look for the zodiac constellations Aquarius, Aries, and Pisces, plus the star family that includes Andromeda, Perseus, Cassiopeia, Pegasus, Triangulum, Cetus, and Cepheus.
