Summer Starts June 21, 2021!
We’re implementing COVID-19 illness prevention protocols to keep kids safe while they participate in our in-person day camp weeks. Plus, for students preferring to play from home, we’ll offer online learning opportunities throughout the summer. Please be advised that camp dates are subject to short notice changes due to revised health orders issued by the County and City and the responses the community facilities where we host our programs must make. We are being very patient with the whole situation, and we are thankful for your patience too!
Early Engineers (K-5): Combo Camp Weeks (in-person)
Combo Camp weeks are unique summer STEM learning experiences for K-5 kids. Four-day weeks, with an optional shorter fifth-day aka Fabulous Friday. Activities and Topics are all-new, so both new and returning students will enjoy the exploration! Students meet at our designated learning site from 9:30a-1p. Sites are open-air and/or well-ventilated class spaces. Every hour the STEM activity shifts one or two times, plus physical game play breaks (and handwashing!) There are 3 Combo Camp weeks with unique class content to choose from:

Plus daily Wow! demos. Along the way learn about Adaptation, Patterns, Synchronicity, and Electrical Circuits.
Combo Camp #2 (June 28 – July 1, 9:30a-1p) — Create zipline racers, sail cars, and paper musical horns, make an inflatable toy and an animal walker, explore robotics with our Ozobots and WeDo systems. Plus daily Wow! demos. Along the way learn about Gravity, Air Pressure, Inertia, and Storing Energy.
Combo Camp #3 (July 5-9, 9:30a-1p) — Make hearts dance and create candy crystals, test your reaction time and speed build skills, create a back scratcher and a secret code for humans then computers, and explore robotics with our all-new Root Robots. Plus daily Wow! demos. Along the way learn about Chemistry, Geostrata, Human Brains, and Computer Brains.
Maximum class size is 12. Physical distancing, facial coverings, pre-camp day temp check protocols. Participants will need to bring their own snack and lunch items. If a camp day is prevented from meeting due to City of Long Beach health orders or curfews, participants will be offered an opportunity to participate online or to reschedule to another date.
